A one-day tour to Olkhon is an ideal solution for those who want to visit the island, but are limited in time! The island is located 300 km from Irkutsk. This is the largest of the 26 islands on Lake Baikal, it is called the "pearl of Lake Baikal".

Olkhon is the geographical, historical and sacred center of the lake. According to legend, the Buryat people originated from here. The island is saturated with local flavor, the spirit of shamanism and ancient Buryat legends.'

Olkhon Gate Strait, ferry crossing

The Olkhon Gate Strait divides the mainland of the western shore of Lake Baikal and the southern tip of Olkhon Island.

Khuzhir village, Cape Burkhan (Shaman Rock)

Khuzhir is the largest settlement on the island of Olkhon, located in the central part of the island.

Cape Burkhan (Shamanka Rock) is a natural monument and is considered one of the 9 shrines of Asia. Legends have been formed about it for centuries, the cape is revered by both supporters of shamanism and adherents of Buddhism. 13 ritual pillars of serge have been installed in the open area near Cape Burkhan as part of the 13 noyons of the North.
