Our excursion starts at 10 am - we departure from Irkutsk for the Taltsy Architectural and Ethnographic Museum (travel time is about 40 minutes), where you will get acquainted with monuments of Russian wooden architecture, as well as learn about the life, everyday life, culture and beliefs of the indigenous peoples of Siberia. Museum visiting hours - 11:00 to 12:30
Then we go to Listvyanka village. Along the way we will stop at an observation deck where you can see the source of the Angara River and the legendary Shaman Stone
Our next stop is the Baikal Limnological Museum - the only museum in Russia about Lake Baikal! Museum visiting hours - 14:00-15:00
After visiting the Baikal Museum, lunch at the restaurants Vuyga or Last Century, one of the best restaurants in Listvyanka.
After lunch we will visit the most famous place in the village - the local fish market, where you can taste various types of Baikal fish (omul, grayling, whitefish) and buy Baikal souvenirs.
Free time until 18:00
Return to Irkutsk by 19:00
*Optionally, in the summer time you can take a boat ride, and in the winter - trips on the ice of Lake Baikal on the hovercraft or on snowmobiles/cars/dog sleds.
